IGIHOZO Project

This project is dedicated to improving the economic livelihoods of older women who are heads of households, many of whom are also the caregivers of our scholars. The initiative focuses on equipping these women with essential entrepreneurship skills and providing access to seed capital, enabling them to start small businesses or income-generating activities. At the heart of this effort is the formation of Savings and Internal Lending Groups (SILGs), which foster financial collaboration and strengthen community bonds. Through these groups, women can pool resources, build supportive networks, and promote collective financial growth and resilience.

The primary objective of the project is to empower women to achieve financial independence, allowing them to create sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families. By offering the necessary tools, practical knowledge, and resources, the project aims to establish long-term economic stability. Ultimately, this initiative helps women take control of their financial futures, driving both personal success and broader community impact.
